Bad Brains are the Washington, D.C punk scene legends that began as jazz-fusion but changed their sound when the punk scene hit. They were one of the few African-American groups on the CBGB scene, but within a short time their sound evolved even more, and they embraced everything from soul to reggae to heavy metal.
