Born Shit Stirrers are from Fukuoka, Japan and line up with Jon (guitar/vocals), Roque (vocals), Lum (guitar/vocals), Watt (bass) & Jun (drums).
They've been collaborating with Kumamoto (Japan) band Ledzepvietcong on a split 7" 9 track ep titled Overworked Underfucked which is due out in July on UK label Serial Bowl Records. They've just released a teaser track which I'm sharing today.
This track boasts a couple of "big name" guest appearances with Mike Watt (Minutemen) on bass and Reverend Norb (Boris The Sprinkler) adding backing vocals. It's a cover of a song by an unknown band called The Bumblebees and it's called Richard Gere.

A vision of walking around and imagining my Walkman headphones were actually giant speakers accompanying me forcing the world into dancing and performing their tasks to my music. If I had giant speakers up in the sky blasting my own music then everywhere I went people would have to listen to my music and the world would have a uniform emotion, a sort of interconnectedness. Like an unrelenting soundtrack to which everyone must acquiesce… These are my speakers in the sky.

F. Emasculata - Mulder, It's Me
Cornish hardcore punks F. Emasculata have a new album on the way and it'll be titled Hail Mulder.
The first single from the album is titled Mulder, It's Me. Possibly the most often spoken line in the entire X Files series. It's also the title of a Gillian Anderson biography written by Gil Adamson & Dawn Connolly and it's been plastered across numerous items of clothing. It's available as a name your price download and though you might trust no one, make an exception and believe me when I tell you it's rather fab.

Incisions - Repeat Prescription
Incisions are an energetic 4 piece hardcore punk band from Manchester with a line up of Jordan (guitar/vocals), Archie (bass), Steab (guitar) and Andy (drums).
On Friday they are releasing their 2nd album through TNS Records. Titled Bliss, they've been stoking up anticipation by drip feeding us a series of teaser tracks. The final track released before the album is accompanied by a rather cool video. Tackling themes of addiction, self doubt and loss of control, this is Repeat Prescription.

Forgivers - Some Future
Members of the Gaslight Anthem, the Ratchets, and Let Me Run have linked up to form a new band, Forgivers, which dropped a debut single, “Some Future.”
The New Jersey-based rock outfit boasts the Gaslight Anthem’s Alex Rosamilia and Alex Levine on guitar and bass, respectively; the Ratchets’ Jed Winokur on guitar; and Trevor Reddell, a recording engineer and member of several bands including Let Me Run, on drums. All four members of Forgivers share vocal duties.
The band’s sound, per a release, is rooted primarily in British outfits like the Cure, Jesus and Mary Chain, the Clash, and Oasis. “Some Future” captures that mix of influences with its steady stomp and the gauzy jangle of the guitars, which ultimately give way to some blistering, stadium-sized solos.
Rosamilia and Levine decided to form Forgivers upon realizing how much they missed playing together after the Gaslight Anthem’s 2018 reunion shows celebrating the 10th anniversary of The ’59 Sound. It was longtime My Chemical Romance guitar tech and North End Recording owner Ed Auletta who suggested Winokur join the band. After Reddell was enlisted on drums, the band began socially distanced rehearsals in Reddell’s garage, which was dubbed “Forgivers Lodge.”

Ariel View - Escapes Me
Reminiscent of the mid-2000s scene, Ariel View put forth a polished, anthemic vibe that could easily be from that early 2000's pop punk scene. That said, there exists an experimental, indie-rock quality in a number of their tracks. These unexpected splashes of flavour are appreciated, making for a highly dynamic listening experience. Recent track, “Escapes Me” offers an isolated taste of their pop-punk prowess.

Mad Mulligans - Bricks and Batteries
Mad Mulligans are an old school New York City 4 piece who play a mix of punk and oi and who's members can justifiably be considered genre veterans.
They recently released an album titled Who Are The Mad Mulligans? via Rotten Bastard Records. It's about to get a UK release from new label Dammit Records. Today I'm highlighting here is titled Bricks and Batteries...

VIAL - Rough
VIAL exist largely as a type of genre-defying enigma. That said, they boast some serious pop-punk inclinations. You’ll hear it to varying degrees depending on which track you listen to, but the air is notably present throughout. Had you told us that they existed as ’90s Warped Tour staples, we would have easily been fooled. Check out their latest track, “Or Die,” for a fantastic representation of the punk-rock aggression this group are capable of.

Potty Mouth - I Wanna
Potty Mouth exist at the intersection of punk rock and early alt-pop. The Los Angeles transplants are one of those bands that could easily soundtrack gritty ’90s comedies and modern Netflix series alike. Following up their sophomore album, SNAFU, they just dropped their most recent single, “Let Go,” in February.
The track I am sharing today is I Wanna.

CHERYM - Kisses On My Cards
Hailing from Derry, Ireland, the group put forth a sound that’s laden with ’90s riot grrrl energy. It’s nostalgic as all hell while simultaneously giving us hope for the future of the scene. The band’s been releasing music since 2018 and just put out their latest single, “Kisses On My Cards,” in February.

The Aquadolls - Take Me Away
Coming from the suburbs of Los Angeles, the Aquadolls are punk pioneers in the broadest sense and feature Melissa Brooks (guitar, vocals, programming), Keilah Nina (bass guitar and vocals) and Jackie Proctor (drums and vocals). They ooze eclecticism, stacking elements of indie and surf-rock on top of a distinctly pop-punk foundation. While their sound might not exist at a comfortable spot for genre purists, fans of sonic experimentation will surely find their versatility entrancing. Now three full-lengths into their tenure, the band released a video and official recording of their cover of "Take Me Away" by Christina Vida. It is a song they've played on their most recent tours and wanted to add a video for it.

Old City - Jump Off
Old City are from Philadelphia and may be a band that you'll enjoy if you're looking for more music in the vein of previously shared Bob Vylan. Blurring the boundaries between hip hop and punk rock in a loosely similar way to Ho99o9, they have the names.... Billy Joel Armstrong (guitar), Tre Coolio (vocals), Flea Ving (bass), Madonna Summer (vocals), Alanis Morrissey (drums), Chuck Berry White (vegan noise) & Marky Mark Ronson (turntables). Brilliant.
They released an ep in 2017 titled Black Bastards and returned late last year with a new 5 track Self Titled offering. The track I've been waiting to share is called Sixers which features West Coast rapper Murs and samples from Black Flag's classic Six Pack but it still not on Spotify. Bored of waiting I am going with latest offering Jump Off.
It was released at the beginning of this month and features and samples Dead Kennedys' Too Drunk To Fuck.
Rum Lad - Clip Round The Ear
Rum Lad is the alter ego of Derbyshire malcontent Richie Tyler-Young.
He has done a successful crowdfund for album number 2 which will be titled Punk AF and should be out around June time. Richie's just as angry but this time around it's a notch above musically.
I'm going with a song which recently surfaced on Youtube. It's called Clip Round The Ear...

They recently released a debut Self Titled mini album on Sanctuary Moon which is available on ltd edition 12" vinyl and as a digital download.

The Fish Mittens - Sunny Meadows
The Fish Mittens are an irreverent old school band from Kent who mix mid paced punk rock with a dark humour which some might find a little close to the knuckle. The hint to their humour is in their name which is slang for female genitalia and can see why some might question lines such as "if I was her dad then I'd still be bathing her" or the image of a public schoolboy shoving a broomstick up his bum or letting his classmates see him wank (and I've not even mentioned custard!). But it's all done with a glint in the eye by a band who're drawing a range of caricatures from life's seedy underbelly.
Their new album is titled My Wife's Clothes Don't Fit Me Anymore and you can find it by following their Bandcamp link below.
Whilst the title track deals with the problem of putting on weight when you're a cross dresser, this one's about mental illness, it's called Sunny Meadows...

Blowers are a rough and ready garage punk band from Melbourne featuring Kit Convict, Andrew Porter, Shannon Aswell, and Pip McMullan.
They've just released a no holds barred Self Titled album which boasts 15 of the rawest garage cuts you're likely to hear. It's a bad taste extravaganza from a band who've shared a stage with the likes of Sore Points, The Cavemen, Salad Boys, Jackson Reid Briggs & The Heaters and Stiff Richards. Happily, as well as being an exercise in sick humour, it's also very catchy.
This track'll get you bouncing around, it's called Hitman...

Inner Terrestrials - Eco War
I'd recently been listening to Inner Terrestrials 2012 album Tales of Terror a couple of weeks back and was going to share Run Tings but on further investigation saw a new album had been released that day!
Inner Terrestrials formed in South London back in 1994 who are known all over the world. They've been wowing audiences for 27 years with their fusion of "dub, punk, ska, folk and general anarchic danceability." They line up with founder members Jay Terrestrial (vocals/guitar) and Fran Webber (vocals/bass) plus drummer Ben Swan.
Titled Heart Of The Free, it's 11 tracks of socially aware, genre hopping music which is passionate but also thoughtful.
This track tells us how 50,000 acres of rain forest is lost every day and that 60% of all wild animals have disappeared during the last 40 years. It mentions how the oceans are a dumping ground for the effluent of consumerism and how contamination by man made chemicals affects every marine organism. Fossil fuel pollution and mass farming are destroying the planet but is there anything we can do, especially when big business does it's best to shut down solutions?

Rough Gutts - Control
Rough Gutts are a new band from the south of England who I know nothing about but believe they have a debut album in the making. They have plenty of energy, a mix of hardcore and garage punk.
This track is criticism of the boys in blue and their use of excessive force.
Keep an eye out!

Julien Baker - Song In E
Julien Baker released her 3rd album Little Oblivions at the end of February and it is such a devastatingly sad, beautiful, harrowing and cathartic album. An uncompromising self-reflection of her struggles that doesn't wallow in defeatism, she still plays nearly all the instrument's herself as per her other albums but unlike the others it has a full-band sound.
It's a wildly inventive step forward and I'd recommend listening while reading the lyrics, which are available on Genius.
Song In E is probably my favourite track on first listen. It's a slow, keyboard-based track which throws in a fancy chord or two as Baker’s narrator fesses up to having only herself to blame for her drinking, then twists the dagger into herself even further: “It’s the mercy I can’t take.”

Mackie - New Age
Neil 'Mackie' McLennen was the original bassist with New Mills street punk/oi legends Blitz and featured on the classic All Out Attack ep and equally as good debut album Voice Of A Generation. He also played more recently in Epic Problem.
One of the Blitz releases he didn't feature on as he'd left the band just before it got recorded was one of their best late period singles, New Age. But fast forward 38 years and he's just brought out his own version of the track in which he sings and plays guitar and bass. Drafted in on drums is Greg Boulton (ex Violators). It's a blistering cover which retains the energy of the original.
It features on Nice One, an upcoming 4 way split ep on Rad Girlfriend Records which also boasts tracks from Slow Death, Tiltwheel and Spoilers. With bands of that calibre it's bound to be a winner and you can get more details below.

Tizzi - Brain Storm
Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, in March last year they managed to get together long enough to record half a dozen songs and these have just been released in the form of an explosive introductory demo tape which allows the rest of the world to hear why they were gaining a reputation as one of Raleigh's hottest new bands.
Straight from the off, the fat free blast of opening track No Shit let's us know what we're in for. Comparisons have been made with Vice Squad but "delivered mean as fuck with troglodyte-like force."
It's an impressive debut and you can get it on cassette or digital download from Bunker Punks (although it looks as though they're not taking international orders).

Down By Law - Sympathy for the World
Down by Law is an American punk rock band formed in 1989 by former All frontman Dave Smalley, who is the only remaining original member. The band has recorded seven studio albums. They stayed on Epitaph Records until 1998 and have since switched to other labels. Down by Law has never achieved substantial commercial success, but a number of largely popular acts cite them as influential, and they have an underground following. After several lineup changes, the band went on hiatus from touring and recording in 2003, but resurfaced in 2008 before beginning work on new material and embarking on their first tour in six years in 2009. In 2017, the band reunited their Punkrockacademyfightsong lineup and are currently active and touring.
Punkrockacademyfightsong is the third full-length album by the punk rock band Down by Law. The album features a cover of The Proclaimers hit song "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)". I am however sharing their track Sympathy for the World.

PMX - Falling Apart
PMX are a melodic / skate punk band from England. Last year they released their latest album Ctrl Alt Del which showcases PMX as of tight of a unit as ever before, reinvigorated with a fresh and youthful energy. Thematically though, the record is dark, centered on reflection and remembrance. It’s ripped open with aggression and is PMX at their finest, charged up with a newly found vitality as they look back on their beliefs and the people that matter the most. The twelve tracks are fuelled with horsepower but easy to digest, making it a standout record in the genre without desperately trying to stand out.
With the above in mind, I am going with the opener Falling Apart. It surges out with unrelenting force only to be slightly stalled with the smooth vocal cadence of the gripping chorus. The band’s hard-partying ways of the past are put on display here, looking back on substance abuse not with regret, but with an immature fondness.
Some great melodic punk on show!

The Meffs - You'll See
The Meffs are a duo from Essex otherwise known as Lily Hopkins (vocals/guitar) and Lewis Copsey (drums). They released a Self Titled debut album last year which picked up some rave reviews and helped swell their fanbase but as with most bands at the moment, the closing of live venues due to the pandemic is leaving them itching to return to the stage sometime this year. No doubt one of the songs they'll be playing when that happens is the new single which you'll find below.
There might only be the two of them but they still kick up a racket, I've not had the pleasure of watching them live but the footage on this new video suggests that as well as being noisy they bring plenty of energy and attitude to the party. The single's called You'll See and it's damn good so check it out...

Rotura - Siluetas Vacias
Rotura are a melodic punk band from Barcelona (Toni: drums, Alejo: guitar & Silvia: bass/vocals).
If you like your punk to have a social conscience and killer melodies then this is gonna be right up your street.
The album will be available soon in physical form but for now you can enjoy it as a name your price download.
This track comes with the following comment : Disappointments we have with close people sour our day-to-day. Generally speaking, we live very fast and we don´t dedicate enough time to each other. We miss the feeling of community, doing things all together and for all and not just by and for one´s self, sharing, the mutual, not to want to be more than the others. This is why this lyrics came out, because sometimes (not always, luckily) we feel we don´t belong to the place where we are and we feel alone.
It's called Siluetas Vacias (Empty Silhouettes)...

The Mazlows - Leaving Town
After releasing a handful of singles over the past few years, The Mazlows released their debut album, titled “Community Locker” last year. The Lakewood-born quartet brings fourteen tracks of energetic pop punk that never strays too far into the urgent, frenetic pace of hardcore, but instead recalls all those songs that graced — some might say plagued — the soundtracks of teen comedies circa 2002.
Community Locker owes some of its sound to a kind of music that definitely peaked twenty years ago. But it’s a genre we can look back upon fondly. In terms of listenable radio hits, pop punk was the only available option during an era soaked with the soulless demon sweat of rap metal.
The themes on Community Locker are familiar: girls, love, longing to leave your home town, late nights and that feeling of youth beginning to fade away. The soaring guitar leads are present along with the palm-muted rhythm guitar, mildly snotty vocals and wild man drumming
The lead single “Leaving Town” is another great example of this, and was a great choice for a single, as it shows a lot of the various musical elements and influences found on the record as a whole.
