The Cavemen - Janey

The Cavemen are a garage rock band from New Zealand. Their songs are frantic and I struggle to draw single comparisons as there are so many on there and I hear new influences each time I give them a spin. They have hints of the 60's, 70's, 870's and 90's, with sounds influenced by the punk scenes from London, New York, and LA. Hints of The Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Germs, Buzzcocks, The Cramps, Dead Boys in equal measures along with the Hives amongst others, I would strongly suggest giving the album a listen.

After much back and forth, I have gone with Janey, the 3rd track from their album Nuke Earth, as the track to share. Whilst it is currently my favourite track I'm not sure if others would have been more to others taste.... Whilst it is still as boisterous and frenzied, this one is also brilliantly catchy. It is a genuinely great rock n' roll song, in my opinion at least.
